Alzheimer’s and Memory Loss

Resources to help the patient and the caregiver cope with memory loss:

We sometimes have memory lapses depending on how stressed or how tired we are. We look for our car or house keys when we are in a rush. Lapses such as these are usually just signs of a normal brain that’s constantly prioritizing, sorting, storing, and retrieving all types of information. You can use these resources to find out if your memory loss is abnormal and warrants evaluation by a health professional.

Please take care of our elderly, as we are all heading that way. Our elders were once young and took care of us now it is our turn to take care of them. Take time to sit with your parents or grandparents and have a nice talk. Be patient because, they might be slower than they used to be. Ask them if they need help and what type of help they need. Volunteering is one of the best ways to help older adults and those really in need. You can email us at info@bnjfoundation.org if you would like to help.
